Call for Papers: Irish Transport Research Network (ITRN) 2025 Conference
Conference Dates: May 28-29, 2025
Location: Trinity College Dublin, Dublin, Ireland
This event aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to discuss and advance knowledge across all modes of transport and key themes in the field of transport research. The conference will feature a range of sessions, keynote speeches, and networking opportunities.
We welcome submissions in the following seven key topics:
1. Sustainable Transport and Climate Change
This track focuses on research addressing the challenges and opportunities related to reducing the environmental impact of transport. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
- Decarbonization strategies for transport
- Sustainable urban mobility plans
- Renewable energy integration in transport systems
- Policy frameworks for sustainable transport
- Economic, and/or environmental impacts of transport systems
2. Smart Mobility and Emerging Technologies
This theme explores the role of innovation and technology in transforming transport systems. Submissions may cover:
- Intelligent transportation systems (ITS)
- Autonomous and connected vehicles
- Mobility as a Service (MaaS)
- Big data analytics and transport
3. Public Transport Planning and Operations
Papers in this category should examine issues related to the planning, management, and operations of public transport systems, including:
- Service optimization and scheduling
- Accessibility and inclusivity in public transport
- Integration of multi-modal transport systems
- Case studies of public transport innovations
4. Transport Logistics
Topics can include:
- Urban logistics and last-mile delivery
- Supply chain resilience
- Logistics and port operations

5. Transport Policy, Education and Governance
Papers under this theme should explore the interplay between transport systems and policy. Areas of interest include:
