Science and Cyberinfrastructure for Discovery (SCD) is a symposium designed to foster meaningful networking and promote transdisciplinary collaborations among researchers at Georgia State University and its affiliates.
SCD offers a dynamic platform for researchers to showcase their groundbreaking work, exchange ideas with colleagues, and explore today's multidisciplinary computational challenges and state-of-the-art advancements.
SCD organizing committee invites submissions from the research community.
- Submissions for the poster competition and 5-minute lightning talk will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 and Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
Submission Guidelines
Call for Posters & Lightning Talks – Science and Cyberinfrastructure for Discovery 2025
Poster Submission
We invite submissions for poster presentations at Science and Cyberinfrastructure for Discovery (SCD) 2025. Abstracts should highlight:
- Computational methods employed in the research
- Significant results achieved
- Scientific merits and impact
Submission Requirements
Each submission must include:
- Principal Investigator (PI) Name
- List of all contributing authors
- Affiliated College and Department
- Research area (please select from NSF Research Areas)
- Maximum poster dimensions: 36" x 48"
How to Submit
Submit your abstract via EasyChair by July 15th: Poster Submission Site
- Log in to EasyChair
- Navigate to the Author tab
- Select "Make a new submission."
Lightning Talk Session
Accepted poster presenters will have the opportunity to participate in a Lightning Talk Session (5-minute presentation).
Lightning Talk Requirements
- Time limit: 5 minutes
- Presentation format: PowerPoint slides
- Submission deadline: August 31st
- Submit slides to: researchcomputing@gsu.edu
Late submissions will not be accepted. If we do not receive your PowerPoint slides by the deadline, you will be ineligible for the Lightning Talk session. However, you are still welcome to participate in the poster session and competition.
